Time to edit!

With wedding season over, we are able to take time off from filming and work on the fun part... post production! This is where we take all of the footage from all cameras and put it together for the final edited DVD.

The "Same Day Edit" is just a glimpse of your wedding day but the final edit is where everything comes together and you are able to see the whole day from different camera angles and perspectives. Sometimes this take some time but we take great pride in trying to make your film unique and creative.

Tani and Richard

Last weekend we had great time filming Richard and Tani's Wedding at the Surf and Sand Resort in Laguna Beach, Ca. They were a great couple to work with! Being that Richard is an Art journalist, he was able to grant us the opportunity to shoot the intro at the Jack Rutberg Fine Arts Gallery.

The Same Day Edit

Vanessa and Vinh

We had an exciting weekend filming the wedding of Vanessa and Vinh Tran at the mansion located at the Ambassador Campus in Pasadena, Ca.

Vanessa and Vinh have been together for 15 years! Check out their website: http://www.vinhandvanessa.weddingwindow.com/indx.cfm . It was an honor for Kismet Cinema to be there on their special day and thank you Vanessa and Vinh for choosing us to document it!

There was a bit of a challenge with this wedding because they scheduled a Tea Ceremony and the traditional wedding for the in the same day and wanted a "Same Day Edit" to be shown at the reception later that night!

When it came to showtime I finished my edit right in the nick of time! The MC for the night DJ Icy Ice announced "And now a presentation by Kismet Cinema..." right after I grabbed my laptop and rushed to connect it to the projector! I felt like I hit the three-pointer right at the buzzer! Thanks to Oliver Ramirez and Vince Sangalang who were a huge help getting great footage and keeping me posted on how much time I had left!

Kyle Oracion's 1st Birthday

We had an exciting time filming Kyle's first birthday at Universal Studios Globe Theater this past weekend! The whole set up was amazing. There was even a surprise visit from Doc Brown from the "Back To The Future" movies to bring everyone back in time to sing "Happy Birthday" to Kyle at the exact time he was born! We were referred by and had the pleasure working with Ja Tecson's team of talented photographers.

Marissa + Jaimes

We had the pleasure of filming Marissa and Jaime's wedding this past weekend. They were a great couple to work with! Make sure to check out the amazing location at Cuvier Park in La Jolla, CA with an outstanding view of the beach! Here's our latest Same Day Edit.

Francis + Gryson

This past weekend we had a great time filming the wedding of Francis and Gryson. They were a great couple to work with. We also had the pleasure working along side with the photographers Ja Tecson and his wife Bev during the shoot!

With a tight schedule we had to make sure we hit all of our marks to deliver the Same Day Edit on time! From the moment we reached the reception site I had the challenge of putting together the SDE in approximately 2 1/2 hours! Here's a clip of the intro to their photo montage and the Same Day Edit...

New Trailer

Stephanie & Ronald

Stephanie and Ronald were a great couple to work with! With the variety of shoots we've had lately it was refreshing to shoot a wedding again. It's been a while since we've put together a "Same Day Edit". The wedding was held at the Westminister Presbyterian Church in Pasadena and the reception was at the Brookside Golf Course. Something New

In the midst of wedding season approaching, Kismet Cinema has been working on new material. I was asked by Hal Hefner of www.catmonkee.com to film his pilot for his new website www.scifibabez.com. We went to the Arclight Theater in Hollywood and met with Veta Bates and Todd Allan to speak about the company RabbitHoles (www.rabbitholes.com) who created the 3D holographic poster for the new T4: Terminator Salvation movie! They were interviewed by Kim Do. The flash intro was created by Vincent Akuin who also designed the Kismet Cinema logo!
